Rotorua Ziplines Soar and Restore winter promo — zipline above the Kaituna River and Lake Rotoiti hot pools combo

The Ōkere Zip + Hotpool combo brings together three of the Bay of Plenty's best operators into one seamless, unforgettable day out. It's the kind of day that's hard to top - and right now, you can do it for 15% less!

Here's how the day runs.

Step 1: Fly.

Zipline Above the Kaituna River

Your adventure starts at Ōkere Falls with Rotorua Ziplines - just 20 minutes from Rotorua city. Soar up to 40km/hr above the roaring Kaituna River, zip through the native forest, cross swing bridges and take in views only visible from the sky...

With dual ziplines, expert guides and a 2.5-hour tour steeped in the Māori history of Ōkere Falls, this is the kind of experience that has people grinning from ear to ear before they've even finished. Open rain or shine, suitable for ages 5 and up.

Already a Rotorua adventure fan? Pair it with white water rafting on the Kaituna River for the ultimate back-to-back day.

Step 2: Cruise

Water Taxi Across Lake Rotoiti

After your zipline, it's a quick 2-minute drive to VR Rotorua where Rotoiti Water Shuttles will take you across Lake Rotoiti. The boat ride itself is stunning - a proper slice of the real New Zealand that most tourists never get to see.

Step 3: Restore

Soak at the Manupirua Hot Pools

Guests soaking in the Manupirua geothermal hot pools on the edge of Lake Rotoiti, only accessible by boat

Your destination is the Manupirua Hot Pools on Lake Rotoiti - seven natural geothermal pools tucked into native bush right at the water's edge, accessible only by boat or float plane. No road in. No crowds. Just warm water, birdsong and one of the most peaceful settings in the entire Bay of Plenty.

Allow 2.5 hours to properly soak it all in. And if you're feeling brave, the lake is right there! Jumping into the crisp, clear freshwater straight from a hot pool is something that has to be experienced to be understood. Refreshing doesn't quite cover it.
